As an educator with close to 25 years of experience, I’ve witnessed the evolution of the education system in Trinidad and Tobago. From the classroom to the staff room, one thing remains clear—every child learns differently, and yet our system often expects them to fit into one mold.

Today’s classrooms are more diverse than ever. It is not just culturally or socially, but neurologically. Neurodiversity refers to the variations in how the human brains function.  Students who are neurodivergent may think, learn or behave differently but not incorrectly.  They do not need to be 'fixed’ but embraced.
